Aug2003 Allison would not let me get a junker car for our new yard to be, but she scored this hot tub from friends. The question is; will I get it functional or let it sit in the yard for two years before giving it to some other new Homer friends? If all goes according to plan, I should be able to put this hot tub in our very own yard in mid September. Keep your fingers crossed.

Denali at sunset as seen from Anchorage
01Aug2003 At the beginning of August, the greater Anchorage area had a couple of spectacularly clear days. Denali (a.k.a Mt. McKinley) is about 200 miles North of Anchorage. The clear days made for incredible driving down to Homer and back. Notes: Sunset that day was around 11 p.m. Alaska Time. The peak of Denali is 20,320 feet above sea level. The 6 million acre Denali National Park and Preserve is larger than the state of Massachusetts.
